Library Opens on Monday - News | Art-kino Croatia

Art-kino is gradually opening its doors and first in line is the Special Art-kino Film Library, which based on a decision by the Government of the Republic of Croatia opens to its users on Monday, 27 April 2020, according to a restricted work system.

Following the new measures, Art-kino Library will be open every workday from 10:00 to 14:00. To ensure the required social distancing and avoid risky contact, up to five users will be allowed to reside at the Library, including Art-kino staff.

Users will need to follow the instructions by the competent authorities regarding enhanced hand hygiene, and disinfectants will be provided at the entrance of the cinema.

To speed up the process of borrowing items, users can search the Library's online catalog in advance at https://www.art-kino.org/hr/o-kinu/biblioteka and book desired titles at email program@art-kino.org.

Art-kino Library invites its users to follow up with further information on the website and on social media about possible further changes in the work and services of the Library according to the instructions by the competent authorities related to the COVID-19 disease pandemic.

The Special Art-kino Film Library is the first of its kind in Croatia - fully dedicated to researching and learning about film art. The Library collection is very diverse and currently comprises three inventory groups that include books divided into General and Reference Collection, Periodicals and Audiovisual Collection, which contains many DVDs of contemporary and classic film titles. The Library collection is available to all members of the Art-kino Film Club.
