Brittany, France, 1760. The painter Marianne is tasked with making a wedding portrait of Héloïse, a young girl who has just left the convent. Héloïse is destined to marry against her will, and Marianne must paint her without her knowledge. Day by day, she watches and secretly paints her throughout the night.
