The cult comedies Irma the Sweet and The Apartment by the great American director Billy Wilder will be screened at Art-kino for Valentine's Day as a double film date. For each ticket purchased for Irma the Sweet, Art-kino gifts its viewers with a free ticket for The Apartment.

Valentine's Day in Art-kino is celebrated with Billy Wilder's Double Date. All those in love (with films) can enjoy two comedies by Billy Wilder, the master of film comedy, starring the same actors - Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, on 14 February.

The double date starts at 17:00 with Irma the Sweet (1963), an adaptation of the eponymous musical by Alexandre Breffort. A story of benevolent Parisian cop who falls in love with the prostitute Irma is commercially and critically acclaimed adult fairy tale with brilliant acting interpretations by Lemmon and MacLaine, who successfully restored their chemistry from the three years earlier filmed The Apartment that will be screened at 20:00, after Irma the Sweet.

Repeating the success of Some Like It Hot, Wilder won the Best Picture Academy Awards for Apartment (1960), which tells a story of an employee at the New York company advancing his business by renting his apartment to his bosses for their love affairs, all until he falls in love with one of the mistresses.

The Double Date brings a special benefit as well: for each ticket purchased for Irma the Sweet, Art-kino gifts its viewers with a free ticket for The Apartment.
