Steven Spielberg, eksperimentalno liječenje u SAD-u, 15.000 eura i optužba za prevaru. U središtu ove dokumentarne filmske priče nalazi se omiljeni zagrebački profesor filma koji je više od 40 godina oblikovao generacije filmaša. Kad je studentima otkrio da boluje od leukemije, oni su pokrenuli humanitarnu kampanju. No granica između filma i stvarnosti počela se brisati i na površinu su izašli tragovi kolektivne šutnje koja je desetljećima podržavala lik voljenog profesora.

Nagrađivani film Najbolji profesor filma na svijetu stiže na veliko platno Art-kina u sklopu suradnje filmskog festivala Cinehill i STIFF-a. Nakon projekcije održat će se razgovor s redateljicom Vidom Žagar.

At the center of this documentary film story is a beloved Zagreb film professor who has shaped generations of filmmakers for more than 40 years. When he revealed to his students that he was suffering from leukemia, they launched a humanitarian campaign. But the line between film and reality began to blur and traces of the collective silence that had supported the figure of the beloved professor for decades surfaced.

The award-winning film The Best Film Professor in the World is coming to the big screen at Art-kino as part of the collaboration between the Cinehill Film Festival and STIFF. The screening will be followed by a discussion with director Vida Žagar.
