Obiteljski čovjek Pål Eikrem živi s ALS-om, neizlječivom bolesti živaca. Može komunicirati samo očima, ostatak tijela mu je paraliziran. Pål je zarobljen u vlastitom tijelu i potrebna mu je neprestana skrb, no unatoč tome odlučio je produžiti svoj život uz pomoć respiratora. Iako mu bolest uzrokuje teške misli, Pål sebe naziva vječnim optimistom. Film prati Påla u svakodnevnom životu, kao prijatelja, sina, muža i oca.

Ragnhild Nøst Bergem je nedavno diplomirala dokumentarnu režiju pri Sveučilištu Lillehammer u Norveškoj, a nešto prije je stekla diplomu fotografa pri Oslo Photo art school.

The family man Pål Eikrem lives a life with the incurable nerve disease ALS. He only has his eyes to communicate with; the rest of the body is paralyzed. Pål is trapped in his own body and is dependent on help around the clock, but despite that he has chosen to prolong his life with a respirator. Although the disease causes Paul to have heavy thoughts, he calls himself an eternal optimist. The film follows Pål in everyday life as a friend, son, husband and father.

Ragnhild Nøst Bergem recently graduated from Lillehammer University College with a bachelor's degree in documentary film directing. Before then, she has a two-year photography degree from Oslo Photo art school.
